Gallipoli Submarine tells the incredible true story of HMAS AE2, lost in the Dardanelles for nearly 100 years, with dramatic re-enactment accompanied by modern day footage of a daring rescue expedition to save it from the murky depths. Gallipoli Submarine is a joint development between WA documentary production company Electric Pictures and Mallinson Sadler Productions in the United Kingdom. The film is produced by Andrew Ogilvie and Crispin Sadler and the writer/director is Steve Westh.
25th April 1915 Australian Submarine AE2 enters the Sea of Marmara, Turkey while Anzacs storm the beachhead at Gallipoli. Now lying on the bottom of the sea a search team locates it and it's story is told.
